Information gathered by pulse.com.gh indicates that the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) will launch its campaign and manifesto on July 16, 2016.
The launch will be done at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium in the Central region.
Leader of the NDC President John Mahama recently appointed a 15 member committee to lead the campaign of the party.
President John Mahama, who doubles as the NDC's presidential nominee for the 2016 election, is hoping for a second term in the highest office of the land. Meanwhile his main contender Nana Akufo-Addo of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) is also hoping to win the seat after the November polls.
The president has in recent times started a tour dubbed "Accounting to the people tour" where he is exhibiting to Ghanaians what he has been able to do in his first term of office.
Most bigwigs in the party are expected to be present at the launch. Issues like the continuous building of the community day secondary school, health challenges, how to make the country financially sound are expected to be addressed in the manifesto.
