Ghana youngster scores in Rangers rout

Dodoo scored the fifth goal of the day to record a resounding victory against their opponents.

Ghana younsgeter Joe Dodoo was on target as Rangers thumped Peterhead 5-0 to cruise into the Betfred Cup quarter-finals.

Niko Kranjcar slammed home the 18th-minute opener as well as laying on two goals for defender Clint Hill.

An own goal from Peterhead defender Fiarce Kelleher and Dodoo then rounded off the rout with a strike just after the hour mark when he finished James Tavernier’s cross at the near post.

He scored his first Rangers goal in the 3-0 victory over East Stirling earlier in the competition.Dodoo is looking to make an impact with Rangers in order to be selected for the Black Stars AFCON 2017 squad when his nationality switch ends.
