Nana Addo back to Ghana to bury NPP chairman

Nana Addo has cut short his trip to Europe from attend the burial service of its Upper East Regional chairman, Mahama Adams.

 

Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo has arrived in Ghana due to the death of the party’s Upper East Regional chairman, Adams Mahama.

The flagbearer cut short his 16-day Europe tour over the sudden death of the NPP chairman.

The Upper East Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mahama Adams was attacked with acid on Wednesday evening and was confirmed dead at the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital on Thursday.

Nana Akufo-Addo, minority leader Osei Kyei Mensa-Bonsu and a host of other top party executives have all arrived for the funeral.

In a solemn message, Nana Nana Addo described the incident as a sad moment for the party and announced that, “I’m cutting short my trip to Europe to come back home and join everybody in the party and the country to say goodbye to our fallen colleague and then also, see what needs to be done.”
