Suspended chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Paul Afoko has denied reports that his home was attacked last Sunday.
Afoko denies attack at his home
The second vice chairman of the NPP, Sammy Crabbe had earlier indicated that some unknown individuals attacked the home of the embattled chairman of the elephant family and destroyed several items.
According to him, the incident which has been reported to the police occurred while Mr Afoko was at church.
But, speaking in an interview with Pulse.com.gh, the spokesperson for Afoko, Nana Yaw Osei said nothing of that sort happened.
"It is true that some persons came to his house in his absence. Some unknown persons quickly came to his house Sunday morning whiles he was at church. But the police were on hand to drive them away. They were a group numbering three to five. What I saw, they were not holding any weapon. They just entered his house without permission," Nana Yaw Osei said.
He added that no property was destroyed as reported earlier.
This latest development follows the attack on the NPP headquarters last Monday dawn.
Earlier reports indicated that Paul Afoko was responsible for the attacks. He has however, condemned the incident.Police have so far arrested twelve people in connection with the crime.
