Vincent Odotei appointed chairman of Hearts' 5-man strategic committee

The ex-CEO of the Phobians was on Tuesday named the chairman of a 5-man strategic committee of the club

Vincent Odotei Sowah was appointed on Tuesday as the chairman of the newly constituted strategic committee of Hearts of Oak.

Current Managing Director of the club -Nii Adjabeng Ankrah – will serve as secretary to the committee as Alhaji Akambi, Frank Nelson, Thomas Esso complete the five-man team tasked to restructure and revive the 2000 champions of Africa

Odotei, who seemingly abandoned football and entered into full-time politics as the NPP parliamentary candidate for La Dadekotopon was recently co-opted onto the Hearts of Oak board alongside Alhaji Briamah Akambi former NCC chairman of the club, before his appointment yesterday as chairman of the strategic committee.

Hearts of Oak have been without a major trophy since they won the Ghana Premier League in the 2008-09 season and finished 13 on the league log last season, which happens to be their worst performance since the inception of the Ghana league.
