The New Patriotic Party (NPP) will today hold its 15 extraordinary national delegates congress in the Brong Ahafo Regional capital, Sunyani.
The event which will take place at the Sunyani Coronation Park will be addressed by the party’s flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo, his running mate, Dr. Mamahudu Bawumia and other leading members.
Nana Addo is also expected to announce his campaign team ahead of the 2016 electioneering year
Over 2000 delegates are expected to attend the conference.
On Friday however, an Accra High court dismissed an injunction application filed by the suspended national chairman of the NPP, Paul Afoko which was aimed at stopping the conference from taking place.

Meanwhile, the Ashanti Regional Police Command has expressed its readiness to offer the necessary protection during the event to enure peace and security for participants and residents in the area.
