Sarkodie, Abraham Attah, others named in 100 Most Influential Young Africans 2016 list

Ghanaian youngster Abraham Attah made the list alongside others including rapper Sarkodie, investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, Black Stars defender Baba Rahman and president of policy think tank IMANI Ghana, Franklin Cudjoe.

A number of Ghanaian personalities have been named among the top 100 Most Influential Young Africans for 2016.

The list which was compiled in consultation with a jury made up of young Africans representing 27 countries.

Selecting 10 of the most influential across ten distinct categories, the number 100 represents the force of young people who are creating change and making sure it translates into making the lives of other people better.

About 87% of these young Africans were on social media with combined followership of 18,317,458 on Facebook, while 86% had combined followership of 16,203,116 on Twitter when the data was accumulated on July 15, 2016.

Nigeria also has a large representation including blogger Linda Ikeji, pop star, Wizkid and actress Omotola Jalade.
