'If You Work With Professionals Everything Goes Well'

Ama K Abebrese talks about Double Cross, returning on 'New Day' and more

Actress Ama K. Abebrese has stated an interview with Pulse.com.gh that the cast and crew of 'Double Cross' were really great people who helped in bringing out the best from everyone during the shooting of the movie.

“When you get to work with professionals who love what they do, it makes the job easier. Of course on every set something goes wrong, things don’t always go according to plan but I think the most beautiful thing is when you know you working with professionals and you see the finish product you feel like, yes we actually did a good job”.

The actress, who was also the co-producer of Double Cross said though she had worked with most of the cast before and knows their weakness and strength, it was an honour working with them on the movie as they brought new things to the set  giving her the chance to learn new things from them.

“The good thing is when you on set, you constantly surprise each other. I feel like as actors we are always learning from each other” she said.

Ama who described herself as the ‘most open minded person’ to work with added that though working with people you already know has its own benefits, she however  prefer working with new people and experience new talents because she thinks it is nice to be challenged by new talents.

She described her character in the movie as the direct opposite of herself saying “the character I played does not describe me at all; I am far on the other spectrum. I am a pretty much very easy going, fun loving, laid back, smiley, bubbly kind of person. She’s a bit intense than me but I think it’s always fun to play a character totally opposite or something different from you because it’s challenging. It’s better for me to do that than act like myself”.

Ama also added that she is working on some projects and has got something new, which is still in its pilot stages and too early to talk about. She added that she will soon be returning to the ‘New Day’ morning show on TV3.
