The actress in 2015 was scolded by a section of the public after a picture of her in bikini went viral. Some comments suggested that she deliberately released those pictures for “cheap publicity”.

But Ms Gafah in reaction expressed disgust about the comments and questioned if she ought to have worn a wedding gown to swim.

She wrote, "Ok so I was told about all the comments about my bikini pics and I started laughing. I beg, was I supposed to wear a wedding gown to swim. Why are some Ghanaians hypocrites? The funny comment I was told was "see this ugly bitch [and the] ugly body that she is showing off". Yep my body, my face is ugly as f*ck but better than yours.... Devils reincarnate. Some people are so mean. Using this kind of word for your fellow human... You all go to pools and beaches. I beg what do you use to swim and what was wrong with showing what I used to swim…?”
