Ofori Amponsah is back to highlife

Gospel musician, Nicholas Omane Acheampong has said that Pastor Ofori Amponsah’s return to highlife shows that he does not know what he is about.

Ofori Amponsah who had wowed Ghanaians with his love songs declared in 2012 that he had received a ‘divine call’ to become a pastor. He noted he had parted ways with secular music and would be singing about the love of Christ in order to win souls.

"I run away from God around 2008. Before that, God had told me that I will go out into the world and make it but in the next ten years, I will come back to Him. I made it but I forgot the call. The time was just up. I had to go.  When you sing such songs, you lie to the people. So I can’t lie. I don’t have anything to achieve. Those times are gone," he said in an interview with Delay years ago.
