Singer warns media outlets against false reports on Bobbi Kristina's fate

"The false reports that continue to appear in print and on the internet are egregious, false and will be dealt with at an appropriate time," Brown said in his recent statement.

As Bobbi Kristina continues to fight for her life at the Emory University Hospital where she's still under a medically induced coma, her dad, Bobby Brown believes some media outlets have overstepped their boundaries, disrespecting his loud call for privacy.

In his new statement released February 12, through his attorney, Brown blames some media houses for reporting false stories about his daughter's health condition especially when reports said Bobbi would be taken off life support on Whitney Houston's 3 death anniversary.

Bobby's legal rep, Christopher Brown stated:

"We support the candlelight vigil for Bobbi Kristina. The Brown family is amazed by the love and support from all that attended,

"However the false reports that continue to appear in print and on the internet are egregious, false and will be dealt with at an appropriate time. In particular, the false reporting of TMZ, The National Enquirer, The Atlanta Journal Constitution and the Daily Mail (UK) citing, police sources, family sources and Bobby Brown himself, will receive my attention.

"The desire to be 'first' has clouded the judgment of many reporters as they forgo accuracy. This is a criminal investigation and the integrity of that process requires silence. We continue to request privacy in this matter. We thank everyone that supported the vigil for Bobbi Kristina. God is hearing our prayers."

Although Brown's lawyer did not identify the false stories in question, it's likely with reports out earlier this week stating that Bobbi Kristina would be taken off life support on the third anniversary of her mother's death.

TMZ had cited "family sources" as saying, "Bobby has finally made the decision, realizing there is no hope for his 21-year-old daughter to recover." The outlet went on to report that Cissy Houston, Whitney's mother, also wanted to pull the plug on Feb. 11 to "bond mother and daughter for eternity."

Both Us Weekly and E! reported that is not the case.

Meanwhile, Entertainment Tonight reported that sister and nephew to Bobby Brown, Shayne Brown told them: "She [Kristina] is progressing... She's getting better. We just ask for people to continue to pray."

In a separate story, TMZ also cited "legal sources" as saying that foul play is suspected in the Bobbi Kristina case and it centers on her boyfriend Nick Gordon. While Bobby Brown did not comment on specifics, the statement does confirm that a criminal investigation is taking place.
