Sarkodie being investigated for allegedly stealing a car

The famous rapper was Wednesday invited together with his lawyer by the Police Criminal Investigations Department for questioning.

Hiplife musician Sarkodie is being investigated after he attempted to register an Infinity saloon car which is believed to be stolen.The rapper was invited to the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service after the police had information that the car in question was being registered.

Pulse.com.gh has learnt that he was granted bail after questioning.

Public relations officer of the Police CID ASP Joseph Darkwah who confirmed the information to Pulse.com.gh said , "the car was about to be registered so we got information and invited him over for questioning. That is all i can say for now."

But Pulse.com.gh has learnt that the true owner of the car is in the USA and the car has been reported stolen for sometime now.

The police had alerted the various DVLA offices to be on the look out. The police were immediately notified after an attempt was made to register the saloon car.
