The Argentine holds career scoring records in La Liga (286), UEFA Champions League (77) and the Spanish Super Cup (10).

Lionel Andrés "Leo" Messi Cuccittini popularly called Messi is often compared with past soccer legends Diego Maradona and Pele. The Barcelona  has won 24 club titles, which is nine more than what Maradona and Pele had combined to win at 28.

While Messi does surpass their accomplishments in club competitions, he has yet to match their success with his national team. At 28, Maradona and Pele (twice) had already won the World Cup, a trophy that has eluded Messi.
