'James Bond' actor shares thoughts on a black succeeding him

The current James Bond, Daniel Craig, apparently doesn't care if the next James Bond is white, black, or pink.

Idris Elba is most likely to become the first black 007, making him a favourite alongside the likes of Damian Lewis and Henry Cavill.

Daniel Craig, 47, revealed in a new interview that he wasn’t that bothered who got the job.

Speaking with the Sun, he said, "The person should do the job and I don’t give a fuck what colour their skin is. It shouldn’t be an issue. A female is another story. But why not? Jasmine Bond?"

Whoever the next Bond is, Daniel Craig has no plans of unloading his gun any time soon.

He revealed recently that he would continue playing the role of 007 and ‘keep going as long as I’m physically able’.

Speaking with Event Magazine, he said, "I’m contracted for one more – but I’m not going to make predictions."
