A member of the VVIP music trio, Reggie Rockstone has stated that the group keeps moving because they ‘act hungry’.

Reggie Rockstone who joined the group after Promzy’s exit made these comments in an interview with Abrantepa on Radio Univers’ mid-morning show,  on Monday.

“If you look at how ‘Skolom’ is faring, it’s kind of not necessary for VVIP to release. The song is still a hit. But it’s just like being an old school and God giving us a second chance. We have to always stay ahead; not joke. I act like I’m a new artiste. If you don’t know me and you see me on stage for the first time, you wouldn’t think we are old artistes. We are acting hungry because we are competing with younger artistes. Our motto has been, ‘stay hungry; act like you are a new group because we are a new outfit,” he said while addressing what has kept the group moving.

VVIP has released a single titled Dogo Yaro which features Samini. The Brainy produced piece has since enjoyed airplay with many music lovers embracing it.

Reggie Rockstone revealing how the song came about credited his group members.

“Prodigal brought the idea to release another song though Skolom is still vibrant and Zeal brought that chorus line, ‘Dogo Yaro’. He is a magician when it comes to chorus lines. He came out with something that could connect to all the Zongos, all Ghanaians and of course outside Ghana,” he said.

Throwing more light on the content and title of the song, Reggie Rockstone said, “It’s a three way name. It represents strength, small boy danger, but on the street, it also represents sexual virility of a man.”
