Hiplife artiste, Okyeame Kwame has said that the solution to Ghana’s energy crisis is not far-fetched.

Ghana’s energy crisis has lingered on for close to three years. The situation has compelled Ghanaian celebrities - Yvonne Nelson, Sarkodie and Lydia Forson - to lead a vigil to put pressure on the John Mahama-led administration to, as a matter of urgency, find solutions to it.

While some people support the organisation of the ‘dumsor vigil, others have said it is hypocritical because none of the aforementioned celebrities and their colleagues have proffered any solution to the energy crisis.

Rapper, Okyeame Kwame has stated that, the remedy to the erratic power fluctuation is investing in solar parks.

“We are always told that we are running our power plants on gas. But I think the question should rather be, ‘when are we as a people going to harness the solar energy when we have the sun shining every day?’ So let the scientists among us help us with how we can harness solar energy and the whole dumsor wahala will stop”, he said during the question and answer time at his #OKStripped Concert held at +233 Jazz Bar and Grill.
