Veteran highlife star Obouba J. A. Adofo, has taken a swipe at musician Sarkodie, describing him as arrogant, ungrateful and disrespectful, for his recent claim that he “is of age and don't just grant radio interviews.”

According to the man popularly known as ‘Shining Star,’ Sarkodie’s statement was unfortunate and 'below the belt' which requires an unqualified apology to the media fraternity.

In an interview on Adom Entertainment Hall show hosted by Mike '2', the 'Owuo mpaso' hit maker reminded the rapper that he rode on the backs of radio presenters to get to where he is now.

"My younger brother, Sarkodie's statement was too harsh which is borne out of arrogance and disrespect. I think he should quickly render a sincere apology to the radio presenters since they have given him the hype to make him who he is now", Adofo advised.

"They did not suffer in the industry like the way we the old musicians suffered, nobody knows where they get their monies from.

"They only become a hit for a few years and you don't hear of them again because of arrogance and pride in them, thinking they are above everybody in the world", he fumed.

He has therefore advised artistes to be sober and humble to all manner of people since that would go a long way to sustain their popularity.

Adofo has hit songs like 'Yaa Boatemaa, Owuo mpaso, Due due muo due, among many others.
