Court withholds Kwabena Kwabena’s Feb 10 concert

In a Statement of Claim, the Plaintiff, ABBA Investments asks jointly and severally that Kwabena Kwabena and his KBKB Music Limited, be perpetually restrained and also made to pay some 180, 000 Cedis being sponsorship funds given to the musician by VITA MILK when the last event was held.

In a court documents filed in Accra on Tuesday, February 7 by Lawyers of ABBA Investments, organizers of the F14 Concert, which the artiste headlined last year, claiming ownership of the concept and asking the court to place a hold on the event, which comes off in three days.

In a Statement of Claim, the Plaintiff, ABBA Investments asks jointly and severally that Kwabena Kwabena and his KBKB Music Limited, be perpetually restrained and also made to pay some 180, 000 Cedis being sponsorship funds given to the musician by VITA MILK when the last event was held. They are also seeking some 13,000 Cedis in ticket sales revenue from the first edition of F14 from the artiste.

ABBA Investments also asked for other reliefs.

Kwabena Kwabena was served with the writ on Tuesday afternoon at the premises of Metro TV while in the company of Frema Ashkar who is part of his team and has been mentioned in the court document.

The February 10 event was to feature EL. M.anifest, Kwame Yeboah and the OBY Band among a tall list of performers.
