Actor and comedian, Funny Face

The popular comedian has been dragged to court by a US-based woman over an alleged debt of over $53,000.

He has been sued by one Mary Ama Boansi, who alleges that he owes her a sum of $53,105.53.

According to the plaintiff, Funny Face took the amount from her with the promise that he would marry her.

The plaintiff said, the comedian reneged on his promise and also failed to pay her back the money when their relationship broke down.

However, responding to the allegations, Funny Face said the plaintiff is just bitter and wants to bring him down.

In a video posted on Instagram, the comedian’s caption read: “Where we are now, nothing can bring us down.”

He further stated that he broke up with the plaintiff over a year and does not see the reason why she can’t move on.

“It’s nothing serious. This is a pure case of a relationship gone bad that someone has gone to sit down, think and come back to disgrace me. After over one year of breakup, you are now coming back to say what?” Funny Face said in the video.

“The issue is in court so my lawyers will deal with you…after everything, you see man is bouncing back again and this is how you attack after your threats?”

A writ shared by Citinewroom indicates that Funny Face and Ama Boansi met in 2016, before upgrading their relationship from friends to lovers.

The plaintiff said she loved Funny Face and so decided to take care of the costs involved in his movie projects.

She said the comedian promised to pay back the said money, but has since refused to honour his part of the deal.

She, therefore, wants the court to, among other things, direct Funny Face to pay her the $53,105.53 with interest.
