Here’s how much Zylofon CEO spent on the BET Awards gold coins

11 African artistes and African artistes in the diaspora received gold coins from MenzGold at this year's BET Awards.

11 African artistes and African artistes in the diaspora were nominated for the category. There were Casper Nyovest (South Africa), Distruction Boyz (South Africa), Davido (Nigeria), Tiwa Savage (Nigeria), Fally Ipupa (DR Congo), Stormzy (UK), J Hus (UK), Booba (France), J Hus (UK), Stefflon Don (UK), and Niska (France).

Davido, an Afro-pop performer from Nigeria, won the award at the ceremony held at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, California on Sunday, June 24.

Before the main event, MenzGold Ghana reps, made of Nana Appiah Mensah (NAM1), Stonebwoy and Becca held a 'Cocktails and Coins' party where each nominee in the “Best International Act” category was handed a customised 24-Karat gold coin.

Zylofon Media revealed in a tweet: “A bit of Ghana, the former Gold Coast repping in America. BET international Cocktails & Coins happening tonight. Powered by MENZGOLD …Ghana’s Gold Hub.”

Even though the event is over, some Ghanaians are eager to know how much each coin worth and the total amount of cash MenzGold blew up on them.

Well, an insider tells Pulse.com.gh that each customised gold at MenzGold costs GHC 25,000 (equivalent to USD 5,300.00). If that amount is multiplied by the number of nominees who received the coins, it would cost GHC 275,000.00 (equivalent to 58,000.00).

So, you now know. What do you make of this?
