After the actress and formerHIV/ AIDS ambassador, Joyce Dzidzor in a shocking revelation said she lied about having HIV/AIDS, the AIDS Commission released a statement on Monday to rubbish her claim insisting she is tested positive. The AIDS Commission released a statement on Monday to counteract Joyce’s claim with evidence backing it. The statement indicates she was tested positive in 2007.

Many pressure groups including high profile personalities, religious bodies, lawyers and politicians have spoken against her act. Popular Ghanaian comedian and TV host of the KSM Show, Kwaku Sintim-Misa also took to his social media page (Twitter) to express his concern about the rising issue. He thinks the former HIV/AIDS ambassador needs psychiatric help instead of punishment.

He wrote, “Lets give Joyce the "HIV" person a psychiatric evaluation. She really does need psychiatric help. She says she was lying about having HIV?”
