Ugandan Pop Star, PanadolWaBasajja is set to appear in court on June 15, 2015 for wearing a wet thong in her “EnsoloYange” video which is against the New Anti-Pornography Act enacted by Ugandan President, Yoweri Museveni.

President Museveni introduced  two controversial legislation outlawing homosexual and porn in February 15, 2014. The first law, Anti-homosexuality Act, which punishes same-sex conduct with life in prison. The second one was the Anti-Pornigraphy Act, the government’s attempt to ban porn or any representation of the sexual parts of a person for primary sexual excitement.

Officials took offence to the 21 year old’s racy video, in which she was seen dancing a soaped-up thong underwear.

Panadol's manager was detained but released on a fine after pleading guilty to the lewd act.

The singer argued that, "When I was making that video I never intended it for children; I intended it for adults. I did not sell or distribute the song. My rights have been trampled upon; my freedom of expression has been trampled upon", while adding, "I have not benefited from that video."
