John Dumelo chides Nana Addo over incessant armed robbery attacks

Ghanaians are demanding police protection following attacks by incessant armed robbery attacks in the country.

Reports of robbery attacks in Accra and Tema in the Greater Accra Region have generated public debate about the ability of the police to protect lives and properties.

The latest to join the public outcry is John Dumelo calling on the government to protect the public.

John Dumelo in a Twitter post said "Dear NAkufoAddo, the insecurity in Ghana is becoming alarming. From Oyibi to Industrial area and now Tema. Citizens are being killed. Who knows where they will strike next. Ghana is looking up to you. Please make us all feel safe. Regards from Hohoe."

On Tuesday, armed robbers stormed Royal Motors, an automobile company in Accra, and made away with the company's sales in a stunning daylight robbery.

The suspected armed robbers who stormed the automobile company and made away with thousands of cedis of the company's sales.

The robbers after the attack snatched a BMW saloon car and drove off.

Incessant robbery attacks

This year alone, over 20 forex bureau have so far been attacked by armed robbers in Accra and Tema in the Greater Accra Region.

On Wednesday, February 28, a Lebanese man was gunned down by armed robbers in the Tema municipality.

The victim who died at the scene had gone to withdraw some money from Zenith Bank at the Tema Industrial Area when the incident happened.

The Lebanese was driving his Toyota Corrola when the robbers attacked him late this morning after they followed him from the bank.

They shot him and bolted with an amount believed to be GH¢200,000.

The daylight robbery comes barely 24 hours after a similar incident at the North Industrial Area in Accra Tuesday morning.
