GoFundMe page raises below $300 for broke rapper

Jeremy Piatt, an American graphic designer, is responsible for the GoFundMe page for Kanye West that has raised below $300.

Kanye had earlier this week, revealed that he had a $53m debt, going further to ask Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, to assist him financially.

Jeremy Piatt, an American graphic designer, who is responsible for the GoFundMe page, wrote about the campaign, saying:

"We must open our hearts and wallets for Kanye today, Sure he is personally rich and can buy furs and houses for his family, but without our help, the true genius of Kanye West can't be realized.Kanye West has told us time and time again that he is the 'greatest living artist and greatest artist of all time Great artists need to be supported financially to achieve their full potential."

Piatt goes on to quote one of Kanye's statements, saying:

"I am Warhol. I am the number one most impactful artist of our generation. I am Shakespeare in the flesh. Walt Disney. Nike. Google.

"Now who's gonna be the Medici family and stand up and let me create more?"

Sadly, the GoFundMe page hasn't faired so well so far as it is yet to raise up to $300 since it had been set up.
