Actor meets his icon Eddie Murphy for the 1st time

The 'Wedding Ringer' star couldn't help but gush about his iconic meeting on Instagram with a picture of them and the hashtag "DopePic".

Kevin Hart met his role model, legendary comedian Eddie Murphy for the first time at the 2015 Oscar Awards on Sunday, February 22 in Los Angeles.

The 'Wedding Ringer' star gushed about the meeting on his Instagram announcing that the 'Coming To America' actor was the real reason behind him becoming a comedian.

Hart posted a photo with Murphy backstage at the award show with both wearing white tuxes and captioned:

"#DopePic #EddieMurphy #The ReasonWhyImAcomedian #Oscars #Epic"

A fan wrote: @jordan23ww:"@KevinHart4real Nice! Y'all are two of my favorite all time comedians!"

Meanwhile, it wasn't his only 'first thing' Sunday night. It was also the 'Think Like A Man' actor's first appearance at the Oscars!

Hart again revealed the news on his Instagram on February 22, writing:

"Headed to the Oscars....I'm so damn excited lmao....this is my first Oscars....God is good!!!"

The actor who arrived on the red carpet in a well-tailored white tux alongside his fiancee, Eniko Parish, confessed to E!'s Ryan Seacrest he would love to take a selfie with veteran actress Meryl Streep if he got the chance!
