Celebrated Broadcaster Speaks On Alleged Rape

Ghanaian celebrated broadcaster Kwasi Kyei Darkwah has spoken on the alleged rape charge held against him on Saturday, December 27

Ghanaian celebrated broadcaster Kwasi Kyei Darkwah popularly known in the showbiz as KKD has spoken on the alleged non-bailable offence held against him on Saturday, December 27 by the Airport Police Command. According to him, the act should have even attracted people lodging next to him at the African Regent Hotel; where he allegedly raped a 19-year-old girl known only as Effe.

In an interview with Starr FM’s Kobby Gomez-Mensah at the crime scene on Sunday, December 28, the father of two said that certainly someone would have heard the lady fight him off if he indeed raped her.

He further stressed that the two of them even had drinks together after their “consensual” sexual intercourse and thus muddled by the turn of events. KKD was taken back to the Airport Police station where he spent the night. Hordes of his friends and loved ones swamped the crime scene as well as the police station to show their solidarity.

Meanwhile, the Police have refused to name the young girl allegedly sexually assaulted by showbiz icon Kwasi Kyei Darkwah. According to the public affairs director of the Accra regional police Command ASP Afia Tengey, the girl’s identity is being protected because the information gathered by them indicate the victim is not a minor.
