Late arrival of the Police in court on Monday, December 29 meant they couldn’t present their case. They are therefore hoping to return today for court proceedings on the matter.
KKD is currently in the Accra Airport Police custody for allegedly raping a 19-year old girl known only as Effe. His arrest took place at the African Regent Hotel, in Accra on Saturday, December 27 and has since been taken to the scene of the alleged incident as part of the investigation process.
The Police are exploring many angles in their investigations including relying on the hotel’s Closed Circuit Television camera to adduce some evidence.
Rape is a non-bailable offence in Ghana. KKD can face up to between 5 to 25 years in jail if found guilty.
