Mandy Moore has decided to call it quits with singer husband Ryan Adams, 40, after close to 6 years of marriage.

The 30-year-old singer and actress reportedly sang backup for him only few months ago for his new self-titled, album released in September last year.
Radar Online reports that Mandy filed for divorce in Los Angeles while Ryan was in New York for an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
The couple tied the knot back in March 2009 at Savannah, Ga., after dating for about a year.

They share no children together, but they do share at least seven cats and two dogs.
A rep to the couple said in a statement yesterday that:
'Ryan Adams and Mandy Moore have mutually decided to end their marriage of almost 6 years. It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways. Both Ryan and Mandy ask that the media respect their privacy at this time.'
