Veteran to join Katy Perry for Super Bowl Halftime performance

If you haven't seen Missy on stage, worry no more. Reports are confirming she is Katy Perry's "special old school guest" at the Super Bowl

Veteran rapper Missy Elliott will be joining Katy Perry to steam up this year's Super Bowl Halftime show on February 1 at the University of Phoenix Stadium.

A source tells Associated Press that the 43-year-old femcee and 30-year-old Perry are planning a magical show down on America's biggest stage.

This however goes to confirm Katy's promise about her "old school" special guest for her Super Bowl XLIX show.

The 'Roar' singer had revealed she would have a surprise for her fans during a press conference on January 29.

Immediately fans began suggesting names like Madonna,  or Janet Jackson on social media... but it looks like it's going to be Missy!

Both hpwever worked together on Katy's 2011 hit song, 'Last Friday Night' the remix and it would be great to see them both work it on live TV once more.

Other artistes billed to join Katy Perry include, Lenny Kravitz, 50 who will be performing his hit, 'American Woman' with the starlet.

Katy is also expected to have “lions and sharks” on stage with her while she sings and dances but the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks will also go head-to-head at the NFL Super Bowl XLIX Feb. 1 at 6:30 PM on NBC.
