Actress Mercy Asiedu has thrown her weight behind celebrities who intend to lead a protest vigil against the worsening power crisis in Ghana.

According to the actress, the local movie industry has started sinking as a result of the persistent power fluctuations. Speaking to Adom News, she noted that the local movie actress said was spot on as the power crises is affecting everyone in the country.

“Producers have stopped producing many new movies of late…they are not working [because] prospective buyers do not patronize the movies all due to the lack of lights to even watch when they buy…”, the Kumawood actress noted.
