In recent times, some parts of the country have been experiencing power cuts and according to government officials it is due to maintenance work and other technical challenges GRIDCo is fixing, hence, it shouldn't be described as dumsor.

However, the likes of actress Yvonne Nelson, aren't happy with the excuses, hence, mounting pressure on the NPP government to fix the problem.
Taking to Twitter, the actress who organized her infamous 'Dumsor Must Stop' Virgil that attracted global attention, is saying that "seriously!!!!! This has to stop MR PRESIDENT. #DUMSORMUSTSTOP @NAkufoAddo".

The mother of one continued that "NEVER did Ghanaians think you’d let us EXPERIENCE #dumsor but here we are ..... same leader who bashed ex-president years back! Our leaders keep FAILING us!".
Responding to some supporters of the NPP government, Yvonne Nelson said "continue fighting for them.....you’ll sleep in the heat, they’ll sleep in their a/cs regardless." See more of her tweets below calling on Nana Addo to resolve current power cuts.
