Floyd Mayweather is not looking forward to a rematch with Pacquiao

The American boxer has one more bout left in his contract with Showtime, and he has expressed the readiness to retire after going undefeated in 48 fights and earning millions of dollars.

After winning via unanimous decision over Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather Jr. is not keen on trading blows again with the Filipino ring icon for the last fight of his career. The American boxer has one more bout left in his contract with Showtime, and he has expressed the readiness to retire after going undefeated in 48 fights and earning millions of dollars."I can quit boxing today and I’m a-okay," he said. "In my era I’m TBE (The Best Ever)."No rematch clause was stipulated in the deal, but Pacquiao's camp expressed a desire for a rematch."I thought we fought a good fight," said Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach. "We’d love to do it again. Hopefully as soon in the future."Mayweather, however, seems satisfied with their lone fight and announced that he is thinking of relinquishing the belts he won on Monday."Give other fighters chance," said the unbeaten fighter who just won the WBC, WBO, and WBA welterweight belts in his unification bout with Pacquio. "It’s time other fighters fight for the belts."With that announcement, the pound-for-pound king's last fight will not be a championship bout - a rather somber exit to end his legacy as a fighter.Asked whether finally facing Pacquiao cemented his place among the boxing greats, Mayweather said it is not about specific fights but what he has achieved for his whole career as a pro."I think every fight played a major key," he said. "Not just one fight, did define my career."
