The 2014 Ghana Movie Awards brought back lots of old memories to Ghanaians when they saw many of their favourite veteran film and TV stars together on stage. Drawn from a pool of living actors from vintage local drama series such as Akan Drama, TV Theatre and movies, the veterans including Super OD, Amakwah Ampofo, Mercy Offei, Monica Quarqopono, Paa George Appiah Kubi, Ajos, Abe Pe Show, Keneth Qaurshie, Grace Omaboe and Dizfa Glikpoe hit the the stage amidst claps and exclamations from the audience. After an introduction by David Dontoh, they received a standing ovation from the crowd which was largely made up of the new crop of actors. Super OD dispelled rumours that he was dead and called on producers to invite them (veteran actors) for movie roles. He bemoaned the development where younger actors are made to look old for older characters instead of using the old actors fr such roles. The Holy Trinity Heath Spa gave the veteran actors a health package worth Ghc10,000 each.
