"I knew Lupita Nyong'O's dress was fake since Oscar night"

The former CNN anchor told TMZ that when he rubbed shoulders with the actress at the Vanity Fair party, Feb. 22, he knew those pearls were fake... but funny enough Lupita wasn't wearing her famous 6,000 pearls Calvin Klein dress at that party!

Media critic, Piers Morgan is weighing on the Lupita Nyong'O missing Oscar dress saga and he says, he could tell the dress was fake from the minute he saw it at the Oscar Awards, February 22.

The former CNN anchor says he rubbed shoulders with the '12 Years A Slave' star at the Vanity Fair party after the Oscar award show and knew those 6000 pearls were just “bullshit.”

"I am absolutely shocked that something in Hollywood isn't quite what it seems it is," Piers told TMZ, Monday March 2 in NYC.

"I actually saw Lupita at the Vanity Fair party in her dress and I could tell with my expert eyes that those weren't actual pearls but I didn't want to kill the magic of Hollywood," Piers continued.

However, Morgan agreed that Lupita looked stunning in the dress making it so hard for anyone to know she had fake pearls on.

"Whether they were real or not, being on her body it in deed looked like they were worth $150k. She looked absolutely amazing in that dress."

After all said and done, the famous TV host says Lupita should be left out of the embarrassment because if those pearls turned out to be fake, "the loss is on Calvin Klein".

Well, even though Piers Morgan has the eyes of a pearl expert, his statement was a bit off since Lupita didn't wear the now famous 6000 pearls Calvin Klein dress to the Vanity Fair party. Instead she changed in to a shimmering sleek gown.

So, where exactly did Piers rob shoulders with Lupita again!?
