Late singer’s sister reveals purple was not his favourite colour
Speaking to the Evening Standard about an upcoming exhibit of Prince Artifacts set to open in London along with Prince’s most beloved instrument made the revelation.

Price who passed away due to opioid overdose at the age of 57 was known as the “Purple One” and shot to mega stardom thanks to his now iconic 1984 film “Purple Rain”.

His death sparked a “purple rain” as lots of purple tributes from venues to fans wearing the colour as a tribute to the great icon.
Prince is so closely associated with the colour that he has his own shade thanks to the Pantone Color Institute, a leading figure on colour designs and trends.
“My Name Is Prince” exhibit will open at the 02 Arena in London on October 26 and will be running for 21 days- the number of days Prince performed at the 02 Arena in 2007.
