AKA speaks on what started his beef with Cassper Nyovest

The top South African rapper tells Pulse the reason behind his now squashed beef with his fellow South African rapper.

The Crown Prince of South African rap AKA in an exclusive interview with Pulse TV spoke on what created beef between him and fellow South African rapper Cassper Nyovest.

In the exclusive interview, the rapper who was brought to Nigeria recently by Pulse, attributed the beef to a clash of egos caused by the competitive nature of Hip-Hop music.

"When the art is based on being competitive, people are naturally going to clash and egos are going to come into contact" he told Miss Molu, the host of Pulse TV Live.

The beef between AKA and Cassper Nyovest was squashed in 2014 through a mutual friend. Both rappers agreed to stop the beef so as not to aggravate the situation.

Cassper Nyovest scored a big hit in 2014 with the success of his crossover single 'Doc Shebeleza'.

In this segment of the interview, AKA spoke about the difference between rap music in Nigeria and South Africa.
