The afro-beats and Highlife music group, Gallaxy have disclosed that even though they were billed on several shows last year, they didn't perform because they were not happy with organizers.
The group which said they did not perform due to displeasure with event organizers also claimed in an interview that they were the most expensive music group in Ghana currently. They said:
“We were displeased with how some event organizers handled their very own shows. In fact, everything about their events was poorly organized. We are the most expensive music group in Ghana at the moment and a lot goes into our out and about, hence, we will not be happy to be taking for granted."
They continued, “We appreciate the level at which we are, not because we as well as the record label managing are new on the music scene; but for us to be billed to perform on almost all the well-organized and recognized events last year indeed proves a good beginning to our greatness.”
The group further added "we are grateful to our fans and music fanatics who heightened our chances to earning nominations in the 2014 4syte Music Video Awards with our songs, ‘Bokoboko and the controversial ‘Tweaa’ in the’ ‘Discovery of the year’ and ‘Best Group Video’ categories,”
