Stars strip to create over-fishing awareness

The Fish Love Campaign is aimed at persuading the EU ministers to impose restrictions on deep-water fishing

Dame Judi Dench, Fiona Shaw and Julie Christie, are among six stars who have stripped off to shoot photos focused on creating awareness of over-fishing.

The stars collaborated to take the pictures for the Fishlove Campaign ahead of the World Ocean Day which comes off on the June 8, 2015.

The campaign seeks to educate the public on the devastation wrought of over-fishing and to caution domestic and commercial buyers of fish to purchase only substantial amount fish.

Dame Judi, recalled “I have always loved the sea. My brothers and I learnt to swim practically before we could walk, and swimming in the sea is unsurpassed.

I hope the campaign will achieve awareness of what we are doing to the planet”, she said.

Oscar winning actress, Dame Judi Dench, said “The best part of the shoot was that is not every day you get to cuddle a lobster,” said Dame Judi, who was photographed at her home in Surrey. The worst part was, I didn’t get to eat it”.
