Singer and boyfriend Gerard Piqué welcome second son

The couple reportedly hired an entire floor at the Hospital Quirón Teknon in Barcelona for Shakira to welcome her second child,Thursday night.

Shakira is a mother again!

The 37-year-old Colombian singer and football boyfriend, Gerard Piqué, 27, welcomed her second son at a Barcelona hospital, Thursday night, January 29, through a scheduled Caesarean section.

The couple confirmed the news in a joint statement shortly after midnight and announced there will be another on Friday to reveal the name of their baby.

The couple's baby number two was delivered at the same Hospital Quirón Teknon in Barcelona as their first son, Milan, 2.

Gerard who played Wednesday night's game against Atletico Madrid where his team FC Barcelona picked a 3-2 victory was reportedly by his wife's side as she put to bed the following day.

The couple is also expected to continue a family tradition and make their latest arrival an associate member of FC Barcelona, reports DailyMail.

Shakira and Pique began dating in 2010 and have always been involved in giving back to the world's poorest mothers and children through their World Baby Shower initiative in partnership with Unicef.
