Gospel singer raises $1,970 of $50k for twin disaster victims

Ghanaian gospel musician, Sonnie Badu, has raised $1,970 out of the $50, 000 marked for the relief fund, dubbed Rising Above The Flood-Ghana, he set up for the June 3 flood and fire disaster victims.

The $1,970 was raised by 39 people since the relief fund was announced on June 7.

The relief fund, titled Rising Above The Flood-Ghana, was originally targeted to raise $50k in two weeks.The  online donation platform was managed by Sonnie Badu Ministries. Donors gave $335 22hrs after the singer announced its existence on social media.
