Rapper's new lawyer insists his client was ambushed

Matthew Fletcher told TMZ on March 9 that Carter's family called the L.A County Sheriff demanding for his gun after he was declared dead.

Suge Knight's new lawyer, Matthew Fletcher insists that his client was in a life threatening situation and that's why he killed Terry Carter and wounded Cle "Bone" Sloan in that horrible hit and run in January.

Fletcher told TMZ on March 9 that Carter's family called the L.A County Sheriff demanding for his gun after he was declared dead.

The site also claims another source said Carter's daughter showed up to get back his car and noticed his gun was not inside the bag in which he often kept it.

Suge's lawyer is now hoping to use that information to prove Suge was ambushed by two armed men on the day he crushed them and brutally killed one with his truck at Campton.

In the video, released on March 9, someone was seen collecting an object from one of the victims, Bone, after he was badly crushed by Suge.

However, the manager for Bone tells TMZ on March 10, his client did not have a gun. Adding that Bone did not threaten Suge's life and there was no reason why Suge couldn't have just made a clean exit down the street rather than roaring back into the Tam's parking lot.The manager says it was a walkie-talkie not a gun and the police agree that it wasn't a gun!
