National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) faithful and former aide to the Chief of Staff seems to have bitten more than he can chew as various celebrities have poured their hearts out on him following his comments that celebrities above 30 years of age and still unmarried are “prostitutes” and “irresponsible”.

Alhaji Halidu Haruna who had issues with Ghanaian celebrities jumping onto a social media to register their displeasure at government on how solutions to the current power fluctuations facing the country had been unproductive likened them to prostitutes. He claimed the NDC government would not pay heed to the voices of people who have “their mind[s] upside down and they don't sound reasonable again' because of the 'the prostitution that they are engage[d] in”.

His statement has caused an uproar on social media with many calling on party officials to dissociate themselves from the “infamous” remarks.
