“Agya Koo’s reconciliation press conferences a child’s play” - Movie director

His comments came in the wake of a recent press confab organised by Peace and Love Films to address a seemingly differences between Agya Koo and movie producer, Jones Agyemang.

Movie director, Frank Garbin has described as “a child’s play” a number of press conferences organised by actor, Agya Koo aimed at reconciling with some movie producers and actors he had issues with in the past.

According to the movie director who spoke on Radio Univers’ mid-morning show, , Agya Koo should organise a press conference once and for all inviting all stakeholders in the industry that he [the actor] has offended in order to end the aging frosty relationship.

“I believe organising series of press confabs is unnecessary and will not help in any way. What they are doing is like a child’s play. If Agya Koo thinks he has issues with stakeholders in the movie industry, he has to organise a stakeholders’ press conference and apologise to all those he thinks he has offended and vice versa in the interest of all. Many movie producers, directors and actors have misgivings about your conduct.

“You had an issue with Kwaku Manu, you organised a press conference to resolve the issue; you had an issue with Jones, you organised a press conference as well. If you don’t take care, you may end up holding thousand press conferences. Organise a press conference and apologise to all than doing it in bits,” he noted.

Asked by show host Abrantepa if the demeanour of the actor since the time the producers decided not to engage his services shows remorse, Garbin answered that, “there is no act to find a mind’s construction in the face. However, with his recent behaviour towards a few who have called him, he actually comported himself and was able to mingle with everyone as a professional actor. I hope that attitude will not be a nine day wonder”.

Born Alexander Kofi Adu, Agya Koo has over the years accused movie producers of blacklisting him from featuring in their movies. But the producers explained that the actor exhibited gross arrogance and disrespect on location and set – a reason for their decision not to engage his services for years. They also accused him of charging exorbitant prices.

The producers claim that the comic actor had been dictating to them whenever they went on location by deciding on who to act with and how long he stays there.
