Black Star International Film Festival Selection released
Black Star International Film Institute release list for Film Festival
With just weeks to the commencement of the Black Star International Film Festival (BSIFF), the Black Star International Film Institute through its President; Juliet Asante, has announced that the screening committee which was tasked with the responsibility of scrutinising submitted films for selection into this year’s festival have finally come out with the official selection list.
The committee which consisted of six (6) film experts from various countries has selected over thirty (30) films out of the hundreds submitted by film makers across the globe for the 2018 edition of the festival.
Selected films are categorised into two broad groups; those that would be competing for awards and those that will be shown on screens during the festival from 11th to 18th August.
Since its inception in 2016, the BSIFF has been a platform for learning, advocacy, networking and more. With activities such as panel discussions, open air cinemas, parties, concerts and more, this year’s edition promises more excitement, knowledge sharing, and networking opportunities amongst other benefits.
Film enthusiasts, professional filmmakers, filmmaking students and investors are especially encouraged to take advantage of the very important opportunities the BSIFF provides to enhance their knowledge of the industry, learn better industry practices and identify better opportunities that are available within the film industry and beyond.
