Creed

Adonis Johnson (Michael B. Jordan) never knew his famous father, boxing champion Apollo Creed, who died before Adonis was born. However, boxing is in his blood, so he seeks out Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) and asks the retired champ to be his trainer. Rocky sees much of Apollo in Adonis, and agrees to mentor him, even as he battles an opponent deadlier than any in the ring. With Rocky's help, Adonis soon gets a title shot, but whether he has the true heart of a fighter remains to be seen.

The Big Short

In 2008, Wall Street guru Michael Burry realizes that a number of subprime home loans are in danger of defaulting. Burry bets against the housing market by throwing more than $1 billion of his investors' money into credit default swaps. His actions attract the attention of banker Jared Vennett (Ryan Gosling), hedge-fund specialist Mark Baum (Steve Carell) and other greedy opportunists. Together, these men make a fortune by taking full advantage of the impending economic collapse in America.

Room

Room is a unique and touching exploration of the boundless love between a mother and her child. After five-year-old Jack and his Ma escape from the enclosed surroundings that Jack has known his entire life, the boy makes a thrilling discovery: the outside world. As he experiences all the joy, excitement and fear that this new adventure brings, he holds tight to the one thing that matters most of all — his special bond with his loving and devoted Ma.

Fifty Shades of Black

Millionaire control freak Christian introduces shy college student Hannah to the world of “romance” after she interviews him for her school newspaper. In a spoof of "Fifty Shades of Grey," Hannah Steele interviews entrepreneur Christian Black (Marlon Wayans) for her roommate's school newspaper. The wealthy and eligible Black quickly learns how clumsy the young woman is. As flirtation leads to attraction, Christian invites Hannah to his home and introduces her to his kinky world of S&M. Despite their different backgrounds, the new couple consistently surprise each other with how far they're willing to go to make their relationship work.

Sisters

The story of two disconnected sisters summoned home to clean out their childhood bedroom before their parents sell the family house. When their parents decide to sell their home, siblings Maura (Amy Poehler) and Kate (Tina Fey) learn that they have one weekend to clean out the junk from their old bedroom. Unhappy with the news, the recently divorced Maura and her hotheaded sister make plans to throw one final bash to recapture their glory days with their former classmates. As the raging party begins to spiral out of control, the gals soon realize that there may not be a house left once the dust settles.

Solace

A veteran FBI detective and his younger ambitious partner enlist the help of a reclusive, retired civilian analyst, Dr. John Clancy, to help solve a series of bizarre murders. When Clancy’s exceptional intuitive powers, which come in the form of vivid and disturbing visions, put him on the trail of the killer, the doctor soon realizes his gift of second sight is little match against the extraordinary powers of this elusive murderer on a mission.

Joy

A wild story of a family across four generations, the film is centered on a woman who starts a business dynasty and becomes a matriarch in her own right. Betrayal, treachery, the loss of innocence and the scars of love, pave the road in this intense, emotional and human comedy about becoming a true boss of family and enterprise in a world of unforgiving commerce.

The Boy

When Greta takes a job as a nanny for an eight-year-old boy, she is shocked to discover that she has been hired by a strange elderly couple to care for Brahms - a life-sized doll that they treat like a real child. A stand-in for the son they lost tragically 20 years earlier, Brahms comes with a lengthy list of rules that Greta is warned to follow to the letter.
