According to the Daily Graphic, veteran Akan Drama (Obra Group) star, Lily Ameyaw has died at age 55. The one week celebration of her death will come off on Wednesday, January 14, at Sekyere Dumase, near Mampong in the Ashanti Region.

Lily Ameyaw popularly known as Nana Yaa of the Obra drama series on television has been reported dead.

The leader of the Obra drama group, Amankwa Ampofo described the late actress as a versatile player and a very friendly person. She joined Obra in 1989.The late Nana Yaa was also for some time a panellist on Peace FM’s “Wo Ba Ada Anaa” programme. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
