Akosua Gyamama Busia, a Ghanaian actress, film director and songwriter who lives in the UK is suing her ex husband, John Singleton, for $250,000 to pay their daughter’s tuition and  $30,000 to pay her lawyer.

The couple divorced on June 15, 1997.According to Bossip.com reports in their terms of divorce, John Singleton, film director, is required by law to pay for their daughter, Hadar Busia-Singleton’s school fees, but he has refused to do that.Busia, 48, is known for her role as Nettie in the Colour Purple movie alongside Oprah Winfrey, Whoopi Goldbery, Danny Glover, Laurence Fishburne and others.

The daughter of Kofi Abrefa Busia, the ex-prime minister of the Republic of Ghana,  wants her ex husband to pay an upfront of $65,000 for their daughter’s next year tuition.
