Reboot in works at Warner Bros, gets release date

After over a dozen years, Warner Bros. has announced that it's bringing back Scooby on the big screen.

Warner Bros. has announced that it is still developing a new big-screen Scooby-Doo movie

The announcement was made by Warner Bros. executives Greg Silverman, Dan Fellman, Sue Kroll and Veronika Kwan Vandenberg.

“Like countless fans, I have always loved the Hanna-Barbera cast of characters. As one of their most famous brand ambassadors, Scooby-Doo will take the lead in re-introducing this pantheon of enduringly popular animated stars on a grand scale with an exciting new movie," Silverman said.

Two live-action feature films, 'Scooby-Doo' in 2002 and 'Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed' in 2004,  brought in $457 million in box office worldwide.
