Auctioneer attacked on production set by angry bidder

However, Dan ignored Dave, so producers told Dave to persist.  And that was when things got heated with Dan's wife, Laura falling to the ground.

An unprecedented brawl recently erupted on the set it left a bidder badly scratched after a heated argument.

According a report on TMZ, Dan Dotson, the auctioneer, missed a bid that involved Dave Hester and producers needed to make things right, so Hester, a regular on the show who often bids on storage lockers, was told to inform Dan about his oversight.

An angry Laura went ballistic charged at Dave and scratching him so badly that he had to visit the hospital to get a tetanus shot after been kicked off the set.

The brawl without doubt halted production as parties involved were given time to cool off.

Hours after the report went out, Dan toot to his Twitter handle to apologise to fans while standing by his wife and himself.

he tweeted, 'We're sorry Storage Wars fans! Violence is never the answer, it's not OK. We were attacked & did what anyone would do. #StopBullying.'
