Rocky Dawuni gets nomination at 2016 Grammys

He was nominated alongside Jamaican stars Jah Cure, Barrington Levy, Luciano and Morgan Heritage.

 

Rocky Dawuni has been nominated for 2016 Grammys Awards. His charts topping album, "Branches Of The Same Tree" was nominated for the "Best Reggae Album" award.

He was nominated alongside Jamaican stars Jah Cure, Barrington Levy, Luciano and Morgan Heritage.

This makes him the first Ghanaian act to be nominated for the prestigious award.

Kendrick Lamar leads the nomination with 11 nods, followed by Taylor Swift and The Weeknd. The awards scheme will be held on Monday February 15, 2016 at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, United States of America.
